As one who has enjoyed Sendak's many delightful children's books since my fifty-something oldest child was years old, I found IN GRANDPA'S HOUSE fascinating. As I now enjoy Sendek's books with my grandkids, this book enriches my delight in his work/5(3).

The book is interesting because it tells a story about the telling of a story. The Grandpa in the In Grandpas House book sits down with the kids to tell the story of a boy named David and his long journey. We all know of books and stories that are meant to teach lessons, but this book puts an interesting spin on it/5.
